Vitaflo™ Products for Pediatric Kidney Disease
Renastart™ and Renastep™ are Vitaflo’s specialized formulas to support children and young people with kidney disease meet their nutrition needs. In the United States, Renastart and Renastep are the only formulas specifically designed for children and young people with kidney disease.
Renastart is a powdered formula in a can, and Renastep is a ready-to-drink formula in a bottle.
Both formulas:
- Have low levels of certain nutrients that may need to be limited in the diet
- Potassium, phosphorus, chloride, calcium, and Vitamin A
- Are suitable from 1 year of age
- Are prescribed by a healthcare professional like a dietitian
- Can be used as a drink or given via a feeding tube

Ready-to-drink formula of protein, carbohydrate, fat (including docosahexaenoic acid — DHA), vitamins and minerals for a diet restricted in potassium, chloride, phosphorus, calcium, and vitamin A for the dietary management of pediatric kidney disease.
